I work with children who have been adopted from the foster care system. They identify with Buddy's feelings and concerns about being taken from his home and his fear of losing his second family. It also assist in the work I am doing on helping them identify feelings and develop empathy.
Buddy's Forever Home is an exceptional book for people of all ages. It is well written and tells the loving story of Buddy and his need for a permanent home. I had many emotions while reading the book including sadness, discouragement, excitement and hope. It is a great book for children who are in need of a forever home as well as children who are misunderstood or having a difficult time. The pages for drawing emotions add a meaningful way for children to figure out their feelings and understand various emotions. I highly recommend this book.
